I'm offering a tour to China in October 2009. The tour is a repeat of 2 successful tours created and led by one of the CTC's most experienced leaders, Peter Crofts. Yunnan province is one of the most beautiful areas in China and in the recent series on China on the BBC had a whole program dedicated to it. The tour is fully supported with a back up coach and local guide. The daily distances have been kept moderate to allow us to fully appreciate the holiday (which is typical of my tours). Welcome to Cycling with Neil

This web site has been produced to give you a flavour of the types of tours that I am offering in 2009 and a look at the cycle tours that I have run in the past, for both the CTC and The Tandem Club.

All of these tours are advertised either on the CTC Holidays web site or Tandem Club site. I have produced this site to give a flavour of the types of tours that I offer and to provide up to date information on bookings.

All the tours for 2008 are now completed. The Past Cycle Tour's tab can be used to have a look at tours and others that I have led in the past. There are plenty of photographs, and I hope that these pages will give you a very good idea of what I offer.

October 2009 Tour of Yunnan province in China. Described as the most beautiful province in China, this will be a repeat of a tour first done by Peter Crofts. I have added some of Peters photos to the site and these will very much give you a flavour of the sites we'll see. At present there are spaces available, however I would appreciate it, if you are thinking of booking that you get in touch as I need to secure the flights. Thankyou.

Family Camping 19th - 21st June 2009

I'm organising the family camping this year at Langport, Somerset from June 19th - 21st for the Tandem Club.
It's a lovely area with the rides being on the Somerset levels so the cycling is pretty relaxing. There are however a few steep climbs, mostly to get up to Ham Hill Country park (ice creams and views)
The campsite itself is almost ideal. Small, friendly and a small bar and seating area so that if you camp there is somewhere to go in the evening which is great.
Tandems aren't compulsory as older children will be on solo bikes and that's fine with me, especially as James our eldest is on one now, however you do need to be a member of the club (£10/annum)
I have 20 sites booked and have had 5 bookings so far. If you would like to come please can you book ASAP as I need to let the site know about numbers. I held a CTC family toutr here in 2007 and you can look at the pictures under the past tours tab.
